ACQUISITION ECOSYSTEM

The Acquisition Ecosystem consists of professionals acquiring technologies for the Department of Defense. They report to the DoD acquisition executive, or the USD(A&S). The focus is on acquiring developed technologies, scaling production, and fielding them to the warfighter. Early-stage development is handled by the Innovation Ecosystem, connecting with OUSD(R&E) at earlier stages.
